Inside Cubing ForgeA Megaminx Library book with a beginner path from the first star to the last layer, plus a virtual Megaminx and solve timing inside the game.
A familiar idea in a different shape
Megaminx has twelve pentagonal faces, with centres, edges and corners. Its shape gives familiar cubing ideas more space and a different geometry to work with.
For someone familiar with a 3×3, identifying pieces and thinking about corner-and-edge relationships can provide a useful connection. The grips and move sequences still belong to this puzzle’s own learning path.
Follow the Megaminx book
Cubing Forge’s Megaminx Library includes a beginner path covering the journey from the first star through to the last layer. Holding instructions and the chapter structure help give the puzzle a clearer starting point.
The game’s learning format lets you inspect examples and work through moves in the workshop. You can return to the topic you want to understand without needing to treat the whole puzzle as one enormous step.
Explore it without a physical puzzle
The virtual Megaminx is available in Free Cubing, the game’s open practice mode. You can inspect and turn it on your PC without buying a physical Megaminx.
Free Cubing is a mode inside the Cubing Forge game. The website shows screenshots and feature information; the playable puzzle is in the game on Steam.
One of five puzzles in the workshop
Megaminx joins 2×2, 3×3, 4×4 and 5×5, each with its own Library content, virtual play and solve timing. You can follow your curiosity when you want a different challenge.
The guided Campaign and CFOP phase analysis are specific to 3×3. Megaminx has its own beginner Library path and puzzle practice, with timing for complete virtual solves.
